The role:

As our Business Development Manager for Sydney you will shape and grow the Verve brand and product by securing new corporate partnerships and nurturing our existing ones. You will excel at strategic planning, negotiation, relationship building, and overcoming obstacles in a fast-paced environment. Your analytical skills will assess new business opportunities, and your entrepreneurial and creative spirit will tap into new markets to form lasting partnerships and new business.


  • Part Time , 15 - 25 hours per week
  • Must have a drivers licence
  • This is an 'on the road' role
  • 60% new business | 40% account management
  • You will need to be confident, engaging and highly polished
  • Have the right to work, and be located in Australia currently


You are:

Experienced: You’ve worked in a BDM role for 3+ years, and know what it takes to grow and drive lasting partnerships from beginning to finish. Experience within a creative, artistic or retail environment gets a big tick.


A negotiator: You excel at negotiating and closing sound commercial agreements while possessing an understanding of contracts, agreements and sales best practices.


An enthusiast for all things creative: Your love of art, design, photography and all things creative is what drives and excites you, whether that’s during company time or your personal time.


A communicator: You can communicate across all platforms: presentations, emails, conference calls, meetings and events. You’re able to successfully promote our brand and products in a clear and exciting way, to a plethora of audiences.


An entrepreneurial spirit: You don't need a lot of instructions - you make and believe in your own decisions. You operate as a responsible person who delivers on-time, and treats Verve's business, as your own business.


A report guru: You love to generate reports and provide analysis using Excel and Powerpoint. You are capable of translating raw data into insightful reports and presentations that are clear and concise for management.


You will:

  • Prospect and develop new business channel partners for our brand and product.
  • Drive partner engagement and encourage loyalty from partners by creating and evolving a loyalty plan.
  • Effectively manage client relationships, engagement and feedback.
  • Provide insightful reporting on sales, revenue, conversions, risks and feedback.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets by creating leads to deliver revenue.
  • Partner closely with our Marketing, Sales and Production departments to achieve operational and customer success.
